curb’s 25th edition

where it began

In 2002, 16 UW-Madison journalism students gathered to create the first ever edition of Curb – a magazine that invited readers to stop, pull over and admire the beauty of Wisconsin places and people.

Over two decades later, Curb continues to push the boundaries of storytelling, delivering authentic and impactful stories from every corner of the state to thousands of alumni each year.

The student-led production has earned regional and national recognition from the Milwaukee Press Club, Wisconsin Broadcaster’s Association, Colombia Scholastic Press Association and Society of Professional Journalists for achievements across writing, photography and multimedia categories.

As we mark this 25th issue, we reflect on where we’ve been, acknowledge the major milestones of today and look ahead to the future of our publication.
